Mountain View Destroys Fremont in Week 1

Last Saturday night, the Mountain View Spartan Football team suited up against the Fremont Firebirds in a Week 1 matchup. The Junior Varsity game was naturally first as fans of both teams piled into the Firebirds home field. The JV game was a joke as Mountain View won easily with a score of 60-14. Fremont's JV played like a bunch of first graders as they fumbled kick off returns, missed tackles, and stood still as they aimlessly watched Mountain View players run by them. Mountain View was on them like a Cop is on a speeding motorcyclist on New Years Eve. You gotta give Mountain View credit , since they played good hard nosed football and crushed Fremont like a Paper Cup. It was one of the hardest things to watch from a spectators point of view. I was able to chat with a fan of the Fremont Firebirds. I told him point blank "Your team sucks." He humbly took this as a chance to defend his school by saying "They took league a couple of years ago". To which I reminded him "Well, things fluctuate. By the way, your tennis team is a disgrace." Not that I want to make a bad name for Fremont high school, but it's a sad truth that Fremont Sports as a whole is one of the most pathetic and dysfunctional organizations on the face of this earth. How they gave birth to Colorado Rockies Hotshot Troy Tulowitski will forever remain a mystery. One possibility could be that Troy isn't really a human being. But I digress. This is supposed to be about a high school football game in the bay area, not a lecture on robotics. But just for the sake of argument, lets say that the Fremont Fire Birds are nothing but robots, with the coaches controlling their every move like it's a video game. One thing I can say, is that the Firebird Coaching Staff wouldn't be able to beat the Detroit Lions in Madden, if they played as the Pittsburgh Steelers on the lowest level called Rookie. I say that Fremont JV football just shouldn't exist. They should just forfeit everygame and look towards next season. The need to "Rebuild" is an understatement, and wouldn't do this pathetic team justice for just how morbidly terrible they are. It's more like they need to demolish the entire structure, rip out the foundation, and start a new. Fire the coaches, cut all the players, and let the cheerleaders get a shot at playing football. I guarantee that if Fremont suited up cheerleaders to play football they would fair pretty well.
The Varsity game was a little closer contest. Mountain View was up 17-8 in the 2nd half with Fremont hanging around like bad cold. Alfonso Brister the Running Back for the Spartans lit up the Fremont Defense like it was a dance floor, and Quarter Back Justin Hand played steady throughout the game. The TD pass to WR Brett Hughes exposed Fremont's non-existence secondary. Their secondary is like a Caveman in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. It just doesn't exist.
Free Safety Nirav Dixon popped Fremont players all day and Tight End Brandon Farley put more players on their ass than one could imagine. I asked one of the Varsity coaches about Brandon Farley's Performance. "It was unreal" stated the Fremont Coach "He showed us how wussy we really are. Mountain View has players that have testosterone. We have estrogen as our main hormone over here. We need to turn it around here or train for the Club Hockey season". Mountain View's 29-8 Victory over Fremont embarrassed Fremont to the point that they were getting teary eyed.
Club Hockey would be the best thing for this Fremont team to focus on. It would teach them proper hitting technique, awareness, agility, and patience. "We stink in all of those categories" said Fremont's Defensive Coach, "We really do stink. We owe our fans a refund." Fremont's coach really couldn't have said it any better.
While Fremont will work on refunding it's fans, Mountain View will prepare for their game against Mills high school, another dysfunctional team that barely beat the happless Los Altos Eagles by one point. Jake Parker, Defensive End for the Spartans said it best "We should beat Mills". A simple statement with a lot of power. The Spartans are ranked # 613 in the state. Mills is wandering around in the 800's somewhere like Waldo. Dan Navarro coach of the Spartans has a solid IQ, while Mills won't release info on who their coach is on Maxpreps.com. This clearly means one of two things. Either Mills has no coach, which means they just play by the seat of their pants, or their coach is a basketcase. Either way it doesn't look good for the Mills Vikings. The game will also beat @ Mountain View, which should give the Spartans an additional edge. Dan Navarro, who coaches the Spartans hates losing, and even more at home. Navarro feels like he has a good grip on this Mills team, particularily since Mills doesn't have a coach. A team with out a coach is like a ship with no captain, they always sink, and they never ask for help.
